Itinerary :

Cat-Tuong-Quan-Zen-House-scaled HUE BUDDHISM TOUR: THE SPIRITED AWAY LIFE
QiGong practice at Cat Tuong Quan Zen House

AM: Have breakfast early at your hotel, then our guide and driver pick you up at your hotel in Hue at 6:30am before the streets get crowded. Start your morning with QiGong practice at Cat Tuong Quan Zen House. In the belief of Taoists, Buddhists and Confucians, practicing QiGong helps us to reach the higher level of awareness and maintain mindfulness. Enjoy tea with traditional pastry, visit around and listen to the sound of nature before you leave.

After the class, you will be transferred to admire Phat Dung Pagoda lying on the Tu Tuong mountain slope, with a big standing GuanYin (Lady Buddha) statue which you can see from Khai Dinh Mausoleum.

Visit another pagoda named Thien Lam Pagoda, a typical Theravada Pagoda in Hue, and explore its stunning architecture which was strongly influenced by Indian Buddhism. You will understand the differences of the Theravada school versus the Mahayana – the most popular school of Buddhism in Vietnam, from architecture, Kasaya (monk’s clothes) to practicing methods.

After that, you will be transferred to another Pagoda for lunch. If you are lucky on time, you can join in the “Cau An Ceremony” at noon before lunch, pray for peace and good health.

PM: After lunch, you will be transferred along the way between rice fields and mountain scenes to visit Huyen Khong Son Thuong Pagoda located in a valley among hills and mountains. This 30-year-old pagoda is one of Theravada Pagodas in Hue, and was built in the combination of Chinese and Vietnamese styles as a proof of cultural interference. Leave Huyen Khong Son Thuong, on the way to the famous Thien Mu Pagoda, you will pass by Temple of Literature which is the place to honor and worship Confucius. Visit Thien Mu Pagoda which is known as the oldest pagoda in Hue, with a long history with the ancient capital. Get on dragon boat sailing along Perfume River and enjoy beautiful sunset scenes. Get to Toa Kham dock in the city center, you will be transferred back to your hotel by car (or on foot if you want to walk around the city).
