Bangkok Day Tour To Kanchanaburi And Tiger Temple

Kanchanaburi is Thailand´s third largest of 76 provinces. It is located 130 km west of Bangkok. It is situated on the River Kwai and the home of the famous Bridge  on the River Kwai, immortalized in Pierre Boulle´s same named novel and David Lean’s movie.

Every year in late November and early December the River Kwai Bridge Festival is held at the bridge with a spectacular Sound & Light Show. This event reminds to the history of the Death Railway and the bombardments during World War II.

Pick up at hotel and transfer to Kanchanaburi. The trip visit to War Museum (World War II); an open air museum constructed in the form of actual prisoners of war (POW) camp, there are collection of photographs, pictures, articles, pistols, knives and other items from the construction of the “Death Railway”.

Lunch will be served at local restaurant. After lunch, visit to Sai Yok Noi Waterfall or Train Riding (please choose one trip only). And then continue to visit the Tiger Temple; wild animal rescue foundation surrounding monasteries are many mountain rangers and natural forest.

This is what attracts wildlife in the area to the monastery grounds, in 1995 the first animal to become a resident in the monastery was brought to be cared for by the monks, the fowl (local bird species) was the first of many abandoned animal to be taken in by the residents of the monastery and the tiger came later from one and one, and now tiger is the symbol of this temple. After that, we return back to your hotel in Bangkok.

Hi I’m wondering how much this tour is, and it says it’s 130km west of Bangkok what time does it leave in the morning and what time return? We are going to Bangkok on 20th December and will be the for 3 days and we would be wanting to do this day tour. Thanks
