DETAILS PROGRAM

Day 01: Saigon – Arrival (meals: none)

Following your requested time of arrival flight,

Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by our friendly Guide at Tan Son Nhat International Airport and start your vacation.

The bustling Ho Chi Minh City, still called Saigon by many locals, is a center of commerce, finance, culture and tourism in Vietnam. The driver and guide will transfer you to the central of Saigon in District 1 and you will check-in your hotel. You will be at your leisure for walking, discovering the area around by yourself or just simple relaxing in your hotel. Dinner on your own.

Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 02: MEKONG RIVER CRUISE TOUR FROM SAIGON TO SIEM REAP: Full-day SAIGON & Cu Chi Tunnels tour in private (MEALS: B)

Breakfast at hotel.

AM: Take the morning trip to visit Independence Palace, also known at the Reunification palace, was built on the sight of the former Norodom palace. The Independence palace is a widely known landmark of Ho Chi Minh City and was designed by the architect Ngo Viet Thu.

Continue seeing the beautiful structures from the French Colonial times such as the Notre Dame Cathedral, the historic Central Post Office. Followed by the remarkable site of the War Remnants Museum the museum has a vast display of the both the Indochina wars.

Have lunch at local restaurant (your own account).

PM: Depart for Cu Chi tunnel, the trip will take approximately one and a half hours bus driving. Upon arrival, before exploring the tunnels, you will have some short introduction followed by introductory video about how the tunnels were constructed and how the people survived in the harsh conditions of the war time. Then, spend your time to explore the remaining area and tunnel systems which included the special constructed living areas with kitchens, bedrooms side by side with other martial facilities like storage, weapons factories, field hospitals, and command centers helping whoever lives inside the tunnels meet their basic needs. Besides, there are also many hidden trap doors and dangerous traps within the maze-like tunnels for security purpose during the war. Afterward, special tea and cassava (guerilla’s food during the war) will be served.

Break time for relax or time for those who want to try the real shooting gun. Return to Saigon.

DAY 03: SAIGON – CAI BE – BOARDING IN CAN THO – LONG XUYEN – OVERNIGHT ON VICTORIA MEKONG CRUISE (MEALS: B/L/D)

After having breakfast at your hotel, you will be picked up in private car to transfer to 157 Pasteur Street, District 3. We then depart Ho Chi Minh City via coach and drive towards Can Tho, the beating heart of the Mekong Delta.

Stop at the rustic, riverside town of Cai Be where lunch is served at the elegant Le Longanier Restaurant set amidst lush fruit trees by the river.

Board the Victoria Mekong Cruise at Victoria Can Tho Pier at 04:00PM. Familiarize yourself with the ship while she sets sail towards Long Xuyen and watch the sunset over the Hau River. Enjoy a traditional Southern Vietnamese folk music performance know as “Đờn Ca Tài Tử” with cocktail in hand.

As day turns into night, sit down to a welcome dinner to officially welcome you onboard your Victoria Mekong Cruise, accompanied by the entertainment activities onboard.

DAY 04: MEKONG RIVER CRUISE TOUR FROM SAIGON TO SIEM REAP: LONG XUYEN FLOATING MARKET – TIGER ISLAND – VAM NAO – OVERNIGHT ON VICTORIA MEKONG CRUISE (MEALS: B/L/D)

After breakfast, tender ashore to visit the authentic Long Xuyen Floating Market and the An Giang Museum, with fascinating exhibits on Kinh, Chinese, Khmer and Cham cultures in the region.

During lunch, the ship sails on before anchoring near Tiger Island.

Head ashore by sampan and explore Tiger Island by 3-wheeled “xe loi”, visiting cottage industries such as plant pot and incense making. Visit a site locally known as “Mr. Tiger’s Temple” and hear the story that won the island its name. Return on board in time for the cocktail competition and the evening’s entertainment as the ship continues cruising to Vam Nao where we anchor and overnight.

DAY 05: Vam Nao – Tan Chau village – overnight on Victoria Mekong Cruise (MEALS: B/L/D)

Wake up to another leisurely breakfast in Phu Tan, the provincial capital of An Giang in the Mekong Delta. Tender ashore to visit a craft village famed for handmaking Ca Rang clay stoves. Used for hundreds of years by the southern Vietnamese, these stoves have a unique design that allows them to block the wind, retain heat, and keep ash from dispersing.

Enjoy lunch onboard as we cruise towards the village of Tan Chau where we’ll travel by local rickshaw to visit the local market and colorful temple which is the spiritual center for local residents.

Return to the ship in time for a traditional Vietnamese lion dance, followed by dinner and the evening’s entertainment.

DAY 06: MEKONG RIVER CRUISE TOUR FROM SAIGON TO SIEM REAP: Tan Chau Village – Phnom Penh – Overnight on Victoria Mekong Cruise (MEALS: B/L/D)

Enjoy early morning scenery on the Sky deck while the ship begins cruising towards the Vietnam – Cambodia border.

After the leisurely breakfast in the Claypot restaurant, select from the many onboard activities including a ship’s tour, mini-golf tournament, or simply enjoy the scenery as we cross the border between Vietnam and Cambodia and sail on towards Phnom Penh.

We arrive late afternoon in the charming capital of Phnom Penh, once known as the “Pearl of the Orient” for its French colonial buildings, tree-lined boulevards and scenic river walk. Before dinner, enjoy an interesting pre-dinner lecture about Cambodia as well as learn some basic Khmer phrases.

Day 07: Phnom Penh – Disembarkation – Free & easy (meals: b)

Enjoy breakfast on the terrace of Claypot Restaurant with time to enjoy the view from the pool or from your private balcony before disembarkation at 09:00 AM.

You will then seat in coach to transfer back to your hotel in Phnom Penh. At your own pace for the rest of the day.

Day 08: MEKONG RIVER CRUISE TOUR FROM SAIGON TO SIEM REAP: Full-day Phnom Penh city tour in private (MEALS: B)

Breakfast at hotel.

In the morning, head out to the Choeung Ek Memorial, where a stupa made up of some 8,000 human skulls marks the site of the infamous Killing Fields. This was the execution ground for the torture victims of Tuol Sleng and standing in this peaceful setting it’s almost unthinkable to imagine that to date nearly 9000 corpses have been exhumed from the area.

Confront Cambodia’s tragic past on a guided tour of the TuolSleng Genocide Museum, a former school which served as a Khmer Rouge torture centre. It’s estimated that more than 20,000 people were held and tortured here. Lunch will on your own account.

In the afternoon, visit the National Museum. Housed in a beautiful traditional building, it contains many outstanding examples of Khmer craftsmanship. Learn about a brighter period in Cambodian history with a visit to the Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda.

Explore Wat Phnom, a peaceful temple situated on a hill for which the city is named. According to legend, a 14th-century woman named Penh found sacred Buddhist objects in the nearby river and placed them here on the small hill.

Day 09: Phnom Penh – Transfer to Siem Reap by bus (Meals: B)

Breakfast at hotel, you will be picked up by our driver then transferred to Phnompenh bus station for the express bus to Siem Reap (roughly 7 hours)

15:00: Arrival in Siem Reap bus station. You will be then met and transfer to the hotel. After that, at your own pace for visiting Siem Reap by yourself (no services).

Day 10: MEKONG RIVER CRUISE TOUR FROM SAIGON TO SIEM REAP: Siem Reap – Full-day Angkor Wat tour in group (Meals: B)

Breakfast at hotel, you’ll be at leisure a bit and then:

08:00 hrs: Our car with tour guide will pick you up from your hotel and transfer to South Gate of Angkor Thom. Walk through the South Gate of Angkor Thom via the Naga Bridge, taking some photos. Walk from South Gate of Angkor Thom to Bayon Temple via the big trees, play with monkeys (be careful with your things as monkey might try to take it away from you). Visit to Bayon Temple and walk to Baphuon, Elephant Terrance, Leper King Terrace, and the Royal Enclosure.

After having the morning walking through some impressive stucture, we stop for lunch (Your own accounts)

13:00 hrs: You’ll be driven to ANGKOR WAT Temple area

Visit to Angkor Wat Temple until sunset

17:30 hrs: Our car with guide will bring you back to hotel for the night

Overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 11: Siem Reap – Free & Easy (Meals: B)

After having breakfast at your hotel, you’ll be free on your own to relax or explore Siem Reap City (No car & no guide). You can consider our optional tour belows:

Note:

1. Booking details

You must check your details on your confirmation invoice. Check that all names, dates and timings are correct on receipt of all documents; advise us of any errors immediately; and Make sure that the names given are the same as the person’s passport.

The booking information that you provide to us will be passed on only to the relevant suppliers of your travel arrangements or other persons necessary for the provision of your travel arrangements. 

The information may therefore be provided to public authorities, such as customs or immigration, if required by them, or as required by law. This applies to any sensitive information that you give to us such as details of any disabilities, or dietary requirements. In making this booking, you consent to this information being passed on to the relevant persons.

2. Payment

In order to guarantee your booking, ideally, the deposit 30 % must be paid in advance. The second deposit of 50% must be paid 45 days before departure and the full balance could be paid in USD Cash on arrival.

Payments are to be made according to our invoices only and should be executed by cash, credit card or bank transfer. Any bank charges levied by the sending bank relating to transfers to Vietlong Travel must be paid by the Clients.

3. Cancellations or Amendments

Any cancellation or amendment request must be sent in writing and will not take effect until received

3.1 Tour Cancellations by you

Any cancellation after confirmation and deposit, 10% of total cost is applied per person the administrative fee plus other charges by hotels, airlines, and other contractors of Vietlong Travel.

If cancellation is made after full payment has been made, we will hold is a full credit to be used for further bookings (less any charges levied by hotels, carriers). And the following rules apply for cancellations:

Cancellation Policy :

• Between 65 and 45 before departure: 20% of total tour cost
• Between 44 and 35 days before departure: 30% of total tour cost
• Between 34 and 15 days before departure: 50% of total tour cost
• Between 14 and 7 days before departure: 80% of total tour cost
• 7 days or less before departure: 100% of total tour cost

Notes: Cancellations of Mekong Cruises and Halong Bay Cruises are different basing on the cruise company’s policy, date of booking and price. Kindly get exactly cancellation from our travel consultants when you make a booking with us.

3.2. Cancellations not by you

We are always committed to take our best effort to operate all tours as planned in advance. However, due to factors out of our control it may be necessary to use alternative accommodation and services in some instances. We therefore reserve the right to modify or cancel any tour, accommodation or arrangement at any time. We will notify you as soon as possible of any material changes. In the event of any material modification or cancellation we will, if possible, arrange on your behalf three alternatives:

• services of an equivalent or similar standard, if available;
• any of a lower standard together with a refund of the difference in price;
• cancellation with a full refund of all money paid.

In unexpected cases, we have to cancel the tour no later than 30 days prior to the scheduled departure date, whereupon all money paid by you for tour shall be refunded but no further compensation will be paid. You and Vietlong travel agree to release each other from any further obligations which would have been enforceable had the tour not been cancelled.

4. Infant and Child Prices

• Children under 2 years old: Free of charge tour price/ sharing existing bed with parents, 10% Adult’s domestic airfare
• Children from 5 to 7 years old: 50% Adult’s tour price/ sharing existing bed with parents, 75% Adult’s domestic airfare
• Children from 7 to under 11 years old: 75% Adult’s tour price/ sharing existing bed with parents, 75% Adult’s domestic airfare
• Above 11 years old: Charged as adults
• Air tickets: Airline child price policy applied

Please note that some suppliers may impose additional fees for infants and children. These will be advised at time of booking.

5. Feedback or Complaints

We wish any of your complaints do not bring back home, so that if you’re not satisfied with any aspect of the services we have arranged on your behalf, please let us know as soon as possible to remedy the problem.

6. Liability & Responsibility

All travel arrangements which we provide or which are sold through us are not an offer by us to sell any travel arrangements, but an invitation to you to make an offer to the suppliers of the arrangements. We are free to accept that offer on behalf of those suppliers or to reject it.

Vietlong Travel, act solely as a booking agent for the relevant supplier, and as such, have no liability whatsoever to you for any death, personal injury or loss of whatever nature you may suffer unless caused by our own negligence.
