Day 1 – RV Mekong Prestige Downstream Cruise Trip from Siem Reap to Saigon: Siem Reap – Tonle Sap Lake (lunch/dinner)
Departure for Embarking, then transfer to Phnom Krom pier, where you can reach by local boats the R / V Mekong Prestige Luxury on Lake Tonle Sap. Lunch on board. Settling into your cabin and cross the Tonle Sap. Welcome dinner on board. Overnight in RV Mekong Prestige.
Note: during the period of low water, the transfer may be done by bus from Siem Reap to Prek Kdam on the Tonle River. In this case lunch will be held at the hotel before departure by bus.
Day 2 – RV Mekong Prestige Downstream Cruise Trip from Siem Reap to Saigon: Kampong Chhnang – Kampong Tralach – Oudong (breakfast/lunch/dinner)
Morning arrival in Kampong Chhnang. Located about 90 kilometers from Phnom Penh, Kampong Chhnang, with its markets and artisans, is a particularly busy port city. The river banks are the witnesses of Cambodian rural life and a remarkable diversity of bird life. Embarking on small local boats for the visit of the floating village which has retained a completely authentic appearance. All constructions are floating village: the school, shops, stalls of multiple craftsmen or traders, the police station. All trades are present and the entire population, from children to grandparents, boat moving through the network of canals that cross this little town. Back on board and continue navigating to Kampong Tralach. Lunch on board. Arrival at Kampong Tralach and visit the Vihara of Wat Kampong Leu. It dates from the last century and are magnificent murals. Isolated in the middle of rice fields, it is a modest pagoda, very few visitors and therefore, exceptionally charming. Then departure by bus to visit Oudong. Between 1618 and 1866, Oudong was the capital of Cambodia, built on hills, home to many stupas of the last Khmer kings. Day 3 – RV Mekong Prestige Downstream Cruise Trip from Siem Reap to Saigon: Koh Chong – Phnom Penh (breakfast/lunch/dinner)
Arrive Koh Chong morning. Landing and walk in this small village specializes in silk weaving. Back on board, then the R / V Mekong Luxury returns to its navigation to Phnom Penh. Lunch on board. Arrive in Phnom Penh in the afternoon. Walk to Wat Phnom for the first discovery of the capital of Cambodia, which has retained its charm with its old French colonial architecture and lively streets. Khmer Aspara Dance Show, then dinner and overnight in RV Mekong Prestige.
Day 4 – RV Mekong Prestige Downstream Cruise Trip from Siem Reap to Saigon: Phnom Penh (breakfast/lunch/dinner)
In the morning visit the Royal Palace, which is a large architectural complex, and the Silver Pagoda. Visit the National Museum which houses the largest collection of Khmer art. Lunch on board. In the afternoon, visit the high school “S21”, a former detention center, between 1975 and 1979, needed to take the measure of tragedy for the people of Cambodia under the Khmer Rouge regime, and stop at the camp Choeung Ek , better known as the “Killing Fields”. Day 5 – RV Mekong Prestige Downstream Cruise Trip from Siem Reap to Saigon: Phnom Penh – Border crossing (breakfast/lunch/dinner)
In the morning, resumption of navigation to the Vietnamese border. Formalities and border crossings. Lunch on board. Arrival at Tan Chau in the evening. Dinner and overnight on RV Mekong Prestige.
Day 6 – RV Mekong Prestige Downstream Cruise Trip from Siem Reap to Saigon: Tan Chau (breakfast/lunch/dinner)
Departure for the visit of Tan Chau, a small town on the Mekong. Embarking on a local boat fish farm. Disembark and visit a workshop making mats, then rickshaw ride in the village. Stop for a visit to a weaving silk. Lunch on board, then returns to its Luxury Mekong navigation to Sa Dec. Dinner and overnight on RV Mekong Prestige
Day 7 – RV Mekong Prestige Downstream Cruise Trip from Siem Reap to Saigon: Sa Dec – Cai Be (breakfast/lunch/dinner)
Her arrival in December, where the French writer Marguerite Duras spent part of his childhood. City tour to soak up the atmosphere of this authentic town of Delta where there are still some colonial houses and the “house of China,” described in the novel by Marguerite Duras, The Lover. Although the French have long since left the place, little has changed in Sa Dec since the days of Duras. The old river boats continue to load and unload on the docks built almost at the doors of shops. Lunch on board. Having breakfast on board, then clear all bills, transfer to Saigon or Hochiminh City at The Sofitel Plaza. the end of a wonderful cruise trip!

In case of low waters, it may happen that navigation on the Tonle Sap Lake is impossible for the RV Mekong Prestige. If that occurs, a fast boat or a coach will assure the link with the other bank of the lake where the embarkation on the RV Mekong Prestige will take place. Furthermore, all the aforementioned cruising schedule and program timing are indicative and subject to modification.
