The trip itself is a combination of mountain biking, sightseeing and walking. Along the ride, you will be able to enjoy magnificent views as well as experience of visiting Lao Chai village of Black Hmong minority and Ta Van village of Giay.

Biking to Muong Hoa Valley

You head out from Sapa by going downhill, and the ride takes you into one of the most beautiful valleys of the area. From Lao Chai you turn on to a dirt trail, which goes through rice paddy terraces and villages, home to different hill tribes such as Black Hmong and Giay. You will have time to stop by a local house as well as enjoy excellent views over huge rice paddy terraces. You will later arrive in Tavan, where the car is waiting to take you back to Sapa.

Approx: 30 minutes driving/ 3 hours cycling.

Note: It is possible to cycle all the way from and back to Sapa on a good road if you wish to do so. The trail from Lao Chai to Ta Van is hard and partially steep and becomes muddy when raining. A supply car is provided along the ride except from Lao Chai to Ta Van
