(If time permits) we stroll around the down town to explore the different local ways of life.

DAY 06: SAIGON HALF-DAY CITY TOUR + CU CHI TUNNELS (B)
Today we spend a half day exploring the captivating Ho Chi Minh City. The most places of interest are located near the town center. We pass by the now-demolished wartime American Embassy on our way to the Reunification Palace. This famous edifice was a former residence of the President of Southern Vietnam until end of April 1975. Close to the palace are some striking French colonial structures including the Notre Dame Cathedral and the Old Sai Gon Post Office. We follow these with a visit to the Jade Emperor Pagoda and the War Remnant Museum with a wealth of images from the notorious conflicts. The sightseeing ends up with a walk around the retail Ben Thanh Market where anything and everything is for sale!
Afternoon: Transfer about 30km north-west of Ho Chi Minh City to Cu Chi town. Cu Chi tunnels were used as the base from which the Vietnamese mounted their operations of the Tet Offensive in 1968. The incredible underground network in Cu Chi stretched over 200 kilometres and became legendary during the American war. The extensive tunnels have been specially constructed with living areas, weapon factories, filed hospitals, command centres, plus accommodation. Today we have an excursion to Cu Chi Tunnels to visit an exposition hall and a widened section of the tunnels to get a feel of the underground life. There are also possibilities to fire off rounds from an AK47 or MK16 at the nearby rifle range

OPTIONAL TOUR: Fansipan Mountain TOUR
The Fansipan Mountain is 9km from the center of Sapa Town, Lao Cai Province, Vietnam. It has a height of 3,147m (according to the new statistic in June 2019) and costs about 2 days to be conquered by hiking.
Prior to 2016, Fansipan used to attract at least 1,000 trekkers daily thanks to the magnificent view from the summit and the beautiful, not too tricky path climbing up. However, there is a cable car built to take you from the mountain’s foot to a station near the summit from February 2016, which expands tourism to the sky-high attraction.
If you are not that much of a trekker but still want to expose your eyes to the view from the top of Indochina, there is now a modern cable car to help you conquer Fansipan Mountain. The 2-3 days trip would change into a 15 minutes ride up to the summit.
Most of the tourists would know that Sunworld Fansipan Legend is where they can get the cable car to Fansipan Peak, but not so many of them notice that there are many things to explore and experience with this entertainment complex.
Besides the impressive modern cable car, Sunworld Fansipan Legend also offers the funicular with 2 interesting itineraries: around the stunning Muong Hoa Valley and get to the Fansipan Peak! If you would love to admire the natural beauty of Muong Hoa Valley, a trip with the funicular throughout this lovely place seems like a good choice. After boarding, the funicular will take you through the Muong Hoa Valley with picturesque natural scenery and after a 6-minute short trip, you will arrive at the cable car station in Sunworld Fansipan Legend for a new journey to conquer the mountain.
How to get to Hoang Lien cable car station?
There are multiple choices to get to the cable car station from Sapa town, such as taking a taxi, a train, going on foot.
- Walk
Starting from the Sapa Church to the Silver Falls intersection, then turn left to Nguyen Chi Thanh and go straight to Fansipan Legend (about 1,7 km).
- Go by Train
You will walk from your hotel to MGallery hotel in Sa Pa town and take the funicular from Fansipan cable car station.
