DAY 1: ARRIVAL – LUANG PRABANG

Your expert guide will meet you at Luang Prabang International Airport while your private transportation brings you directly to your chosen hotel.

DAY 2: LUANG PRABANG – CITY TOUR, AND PAK OU CAVES (B)

Today, we enjoy a short-guided tour seeing the city’s oldest temples of Wat Sene and the magnificent Wat Xiengthong with its roofs sweeping low to the ground, which represents classical Laotian architecture. We then embark on a cruise upstream on the Mekong River, which also gives us a breath-taking view of the tranquil countryside as well as exploring the mysterious Pak Ou Caves, two linked caves crammed with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes left by devoted pilgrims. Along the way, we will stop at the village of Ban Xanghai, where the local rice wine is produced. On return, we take a short drive to another small village Ban Phanom, which is famous 
for its hand weaving.

DAY 3: LUANG PRABANG – CITY TOUR AND KHOUANGSI FALLS (B)

After breakfast, we visit the National Museum at the former Royal Palace.  It displays a collection of artifacts reflecting the richness of Lao culture dating from the days of the early kings right through to the last sovereign. There will also be time for us to look around the Central Market. We then continue towards Khouangsi Waterfall, en route, we visit the local villages of Lao ethnic minority groups at Ban Ouay, Ban Ou, Laoloum and Ban Thapene, and then drive to the beautiful Khouangsi Waterfall. Here you can take a dip in the inviting pools or walk along the forest trails surrounding the waterfall. We return to Luang Prabang by late afternoon and continue to Ban Xangkhong, a village well known for silk hand weaving and for traditional Saa Paper making.

DAY 4: LUANG PRABANG – FLY TO SIEM REAP (B/-/-)

After breakfast, you will be at leisure until transferred to the airport for a departure flight to Siemreap on VN 931 (14:35 – 16:05)

Warmly welcome at Siem Reap International airport, you are met by our guide & driver and then transferred direct to hotel for check in.

DAY 5 : SIEM REAP – ANGKOR GROUP TOUR (B/L)

Breakfast at hotel, you’ll be at leisure a bit and then:

08:00 hrs : Our shuttle bus with tour guide will pick you up from your hotel and transfer to South Gate of Angkor Thom.

Walk through the South Gate of Angkor Thom via the Naga Bridge, taking some photos.

Walk from South Gate of Angkor Thom to Bayon temple via the big trees, play with monkeys (be careful with your things as monkey might try to take it away from you)

Visit to Bayon Temple and walk to Baphuon, Elephant Terrance, Leper King Terrace and the Royal Enclosure

DAY 6: SIEM REAP – FREE OR OPTIONAL TONLE SAP LAKE TOUR (B)

This morning we will enjoy a boat ride on the Tonle Sap lake. This is the largest permanent fresh-water lake in South East Asia and flows into Tonle Sap River, joining the Mekong in Phnom Penh. We will see a fishermen’s “floating village” with floating schools, floating police station, etc. It is same as a big village floating on the lake, and the “village” move from place to place following water levels and current.

Transfer to Siem Reap bus station for a departure to Phnompenh.

On arrival, you will be met and transferred to the hotel.

After that, you are free to visit to the Royal Palace, built by King Norodom in 1866 on the site of the old town, and the Silver Pagoda, located within the grounds of the Royal Palace, the Silver Pagoda is so named because of  its floor, which is made up of 5000 silver tiles or Genocide Museum or S21, the former Tuol Svay Prey High School which the Khmer Rouge set up a prison at this site in May 1976, to detain individual accused of opposing the Pol Pot regime, and was Angkar’s premier security institution, the Killing Field of Choeung Ek. DAY 9: PHNOM PENH – SAIGON BY BUS (B)

Transfer to Phnom Penh bus station for departure to Saigon by morning bus (Giant Ibis Bus)

On arrival at Saigon, you are met and transferred to hotel for check in.

The bustling Ho Chi Minh City, still called Saigon by many locals, is a center of commerce, finance, culture and tourism in Vietnam. This metropolis, contradiction of its northern counterpart, is crowded with bikes and motorbikes, excited by numerous shopping areas and sidewalk cafes. (If time permits) we stroll around the down town to explore the different local ways of life.

DAY 10: SAIGON HALF-DAY CITY TOUR + CU CHI TUNNELS (B/-/-)

Today we spend a half day exploring the captivating Ho Chi Minh City. The most places of interest are located near the town center. We pass by the now-demolished wartime American Embassy on our way to the Reunification Palace. This famous edifice was a former residence of the President of Southern Vietnam until end of Maril 1975.

Close to the palace are some striking French colonial structures including the Notre Dame Cathedral and the Old Sai Gon Post Office. We follow these with a visit to the Jade Emperor Pagoda and the War Remnant Museum with a wealth of images from the notorious conflicts. The sightseeing ends up with a walk around the retail Ben Thanh Market where anything and everything is for sale!

Cu Chi Tunnel

Afternoon: Transfer about 30km north-west of Ho Chi Minh City to Cu Chi town. Cu Chi tunnels were used as the base from which the Vietnamese mounted their operations of the Tet Offensive in 1968. The incredible underground network in Cu Chi stretched over 200 kilometres and became legendary during the American war. The extensive tunnels have been specially constructed with living areas, weapon factories, filed hospitals, command centres, plus accommodation. Today we have an excursion to Cu Chi Tunnels to visit an exposition hall and a widened section of the tunnels to get a feel of the underground life. There are also possibilities to fire off rounds from an AK47 or MK16 at the nearby rifle range

DAY 11: SAIGON – HANOI by flight(B/-/-)

Step back in time as you fly from the buzzing, modern city of Ho Chi Minh to Hanoi on VN231 (11:00 – 13:15). Upon arrival at Noibai Airport, you’ll be met by our tour guide & transferred to for Check-in hotel in Hanoi.

Afternoon: Free time by your own.

Overnight in Hanoi.

DAY 12: HANOI – HALONG CRUISE (B/L/D)

08.00: You will be picked up at your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter and transferred to Ha Long (For guests booking Limousine Bus or shuttle bus only).

11:30-12:00 Upon arrival at Tuan Chau International Cruise Port, you will enjoy a warm welcome by our cruise staff in the waiting lounge and complete check-in procedure.

12:00 Upon boarding Amanda Cruise, our crew welcome you with a refreshing drink and cold towel before checking into your cabin. The vessel leaves Tuan Chau Marina, taking you on an exciting journey to discover the beauty of Ha Long Bay. Along the way, you can enjoy the view of some of the most beautiful spots in Ha Long and admire the grandeur of the Bay with thousands of limestone islands while the vessel heads to Trinh Nu Cave.

Enjoy your lunch at our luxurious restaurant on board while the vessel cruises toward Trinh Nu cave.

14.00: You return to your cabin for a short rest and prepare for kayaking activities in Trinh Nu Cave area.

15.00: You will be transferred to Trinh Nu Cave by tender.

Arriving at Trinh Nu Cave area, you will take part in kayaking activitie here. To get to Trinh Nu beach, you need to kayak around thousand-year-old limestone formations and then walk for 5 minutes through Trinh Nu cave. Trinh Nu beach will amaze you with its white sand, emerald water and mild pleasant weather condition.

17.30-18.00 Back on board, you will participate in Sunset party & cooking class while the vessel cruises toward the shore. You can enjoy relaxing moments while sipping a cup of traditional Vietnamese tea or coffee on the sundeck amid wonderful scenery and beautiful sunset. Ha Long Bay is calm during the day, but when the sun goes down, the Bay becomes even more tranquil and peaceful.

You will be instructed to make delicious traditional Vietnamese steamed rice rolls by our chef and then enjoy the rolls made on your own.

19.30 Gala Dinner. Enjoy your dinner on the Sundeck (if the weather is favorable)

20.30 After dinner, you will enjoy a peaceful view of the Bay at night on the deck. DAY 13: HALONG BAY – HANOI (B/L/D)

06:15: Tai Chi class on the Sun-deck.

07:15: Have breakfast with Coffee, tea and Bakeries on board.

08:00: Visit the SURPRISING CAVE (Hang Sung Sot) discovered by the French in 1901. Opened for tourists since 1936, now it is a must-to-see and a symbol for geology value of Halong.

09:30: Check out time. Then relax on the sun-deck or inside the restaurant to enjoy the bay’s scenery.

10h15: Enjoying a traditional Vietnamese lunch while cruising back to the pier.

12:00: Disembarkation at Tuan Chau Pier. Our car will be at your disposal to pick you up then drive back to Hanoi.

16:00: Arrive in Hanoi. End of the trip!

DAY 14: HANOI HALF DAY CITY WALKING TOUR (B/)

From your hotel, we take you to visit Ho Chi Minh complex, walking around Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum – the final resting place of Vietnamese great father or Uncle Ho, President Ho Chi Minh’s stilt house – where Ho lived on and off from 1958 to 1969… The next place is One Pillar Pagoda a group of structures consisting of a pagoda and a tower built in the middle of a square pond. Leave One Pillar Pagoda for the Temple of Literature the first college of Viet Nam dedicated to Confucian. Back to Hoan Kiem Lake and have a stopover with Ngoc Son Temple

Afternoon: Free time by your own for leisure & shopping. After having breakfast, you’ll be free on your own to discover travel sites in Hanoi

DAY 15: HANOI – DEPARTURE (B/)

After breakfast, you are free till the time our guide & driver pick you up to Noi Bai airport for a departure flight to GO HOME.
