11h00: we board Mekong Melody Cruise boat and enjoy welcome drink. We will then explore the lively Cai Be floating market and cruising amongst the mazes of waterway to visit the handicraft villages and meet with local people. Here, we visit the old house and sample various tropical fruits.
We arrive in Vinh long in the afternoon. We disembark for a walk or bike for sightseeing tour of the Cu lao Binh Hoa Phuoc before cruising to Can Tho via Cho Lach and Tra On. Here, we visit the Cho Lach village and take a tour on foot or by bike on the footpaths of the countryside to discover tropical fruit orchards and the local people’s activities. En-route to visit a cottage industry, a local farm and sample seasonal fruits. We will then keep cruising to continue to Mang Thit. Enjoy the magnificent sunset on the river. Leisurely cruise up the Mekong River while enjoying the beautiful scenery and the aperitifs, sunset cruise.

Day 2 – Mekong Melody Cruise Trip from Cai Be to Can Tho: Tra On cruising tour to Can Tho (B)

Rising up to the sound of River and Mekong Delta coming to life for another lovely day we enjoy the sunset. After breakfast, we cruise along the cannels and visit a village on the bank of Co Chien. Here, we will have the opportunity see the way of life of the local inhabitants, and their hospitality. Leisurely cruise up the Bassac River while enjoying the beautiful scenery along the river. Upon arrival to Can Tho, we visit the Cai Rang market, one of the most bustling floating markets in Mekong Delta with hundreds of small boats laden fruits barging and jostling for space as owners attempt to sell their goods. Boat through the palm-shaded creek to see local houses and green orchards, ship building yards, local markets in full swing.

How safe is Vietnam?
