Day 1: Ben Tre – Cruise Tour to Cho Lach – Sa Dec
Day 2: Sa Dec – Cruise Tour to Cho Moi
Day 3: Cho Moi – Cruise Tour to Chau Doc

Day 1. Mango Cruise Mekong Vacation from Saigon to Chau Doc – 3 Days: Ben Tre cruising tour to Cho Lach and then towards Sa Dec (-/L/ D)

Depart from Ben Tre along the Ham Luong River to Cho Lach canals. Upon boarding your private sampan, your luggage will be brought to your cabin, while you enjoy a refreshing welcome cocktail on the deck while meeting your crewmembers and enjoying the scenery and fresh air from the water.

Next, head towards Cai Nhum Village, starting to cycle throughout the orchards and along the smaller canals. Stop for a visit at Cai Nhum local Catholic Church and enjoy the bike ride on the suspension bridge, crossing to the other side of the canals.
Head back to the boat and lunch will be served on board while you are cruising to Vinh Long province. On the way we will stop for a visit at the floating fish farm and experience the local river culture.

Come back on the boat and cruising towards the town of Sa Dec, and you will start to explore this charming town, where it is the backdrop for the film ‘The Lover’, based on the semi-autobiographical novel by Marguerite Duras.  The story is about a teenage French girl who falls in love with a wealthy Chinese man, Huynh Thuy Le.  You will visit his old family home as well as the high school where Marguerite’s mother was a teacher.  You will also visit the beautiful Temple Kien An.
In the late afternoon prepare for dinner onboard.  The rest of the night may be spent at your leisure.  Overnight will be spent onboard in Sa Dec Province.

Day 2. Mango Cruise Mekong Vacation from Saigon to Chau Doc – 3 Days: Sa Dec cruising tour to Cho Moi (B/L/D)

After enjoy breakfast, you will begin the morning with cycling through the village of An Phu Dong. For hundreds of years this village has provided Saigon with its daily flower supply.
Return to your boat, freshen up, and relax.  Start cruising to Cho Moi. On the way we will stop to explore more of the local villages by bike.  Lunch will be served onboard.
After lunch, you can bike through one more villages, cross the monkey bridges, and chat with the cheerful local kids.
As you continue cruising, you will start to notice more houses on stilts and an increase of flooded fields. This area is prone to severe flooding and as a result, is one of the Delta’s poorest regions.
Head back to your boat and prepare for the cooking demonstration and dinner on board. Overnight will be spent onboard by Vien Island.

Day 3. Mango Cruise Mekong Vacation from Saigon to Chau Doc – 3 Days: Cho Moi cruising tour to Chau Doc (B/L/-)

Start the morning with breakfast on board and while cruising to Chau Doc. On the way we will stop to visit the local villages, including an old temple of the region.  Continue cruising to Vam Nao, visit the Cham Islamic village in Chau Giang, one of the biggest Muslim towns in Vietnam where the locals speak both Vietnamese and Cham languages. They read the Quran in Arabic and, of course, all the men in the village wish to travel to Mecca once in their lifetime.  You will visit the Mubarak Mosque, which is one of the mosques in the Chau Doc area.
The cruise will then make its way to the pier in Chau Doc town, where you will be dropped off.  At this point you can either return to Saigon via private car, or continue on to Phnom Penh by boat…..
