Full Day Luang Prabang Elephant Riding Tour: 1 day Elephant Experience – Living like a Mahout program, interact with Elephants

A wonderful one day tour with Elephant rides, Elephant washing and Elephant interaction at the famous and beautifully located “Elephant Village” outside of Luang Prabang. 8.00 a.m: Pick up from hotel (please check the exact time with us before departure).

Travel on dusty road about 15km out of Luang Prabang into the Nam Khan river area. Follow the day of the Elephant Mahout! This includes activities with our protected Asian Elephants. Elephant washing, riding, feeding and sharing time with the locals, and all this in the most beautiful area around Luang Prabang! It’s a simple life close to the animals and close to nature.

The day of a Mahout is scheduled to fit the needs of the animals and offer you the unique chance to follow this natural rhythm. The setting is wonderful and of amazing natural beauty. Take time on the afternoon to go and visit Tad Sea Waterfall (not available in dry season – February till August)!

You may ride a few times today and get close with the animals during your activities. Feed them, bring them to the river and learn how to clean and wash these massive animals. Return to Luang Prabang in the early evening.

No, all inclusions and exclusions are mentioned at our final confirmation for your trip. Generally, tipping is not compulsory. If you are satisfied with your guides, drivers, a small gratuity is an appropriate way in which to show appreciation to them.

How can I get Vietnam visa on arrival?

For those who travel with VIETLONG TRAVEL, we can arrange the visa approval letter allowing them to obtain a visa on arrival at Noibai Airport in Hanoi, Danang Airport in Danang, Tan San Nhat Airport in Ho Chi Minh. After 3-4 working days, we will send you the visa approval letter. We charge US$ 50 for visa on arrival at the airport. This fee is subject to change without prior notice.

How safe is Vietnam?

Vietnam is a relatively safe country to visit but there are increasing instances of theft, especially in HCMC where pickpockets and snatch thieves on motorbikes are common. The best tip is to be vigilant at all times. Leave all valuables at home, and make sure you have a firm grip on cameras and shoulder bags at all times.
