On arrival at Tan San Nhat Airport, you are met by our guide and transferred to hotel. The bustling Ho Chi Minh City, still called Saigon by many locals, is a center of commerce, finance, culture and tourism in Vietnam. This metropolis, contradiction of its northern counterpart, is crowded with bikes and motorbikes, excited by numerous shopping areas and sidewalk cafes. (If time permits) we stroll around the down town to explore the different local ways of life.

DAY 2: SAI GON SIGHTSEEING + CU CHI TUNNELS TOURS (B/-/-)

Morning: We spend a half day exploring the captivating Ho Chi Minh City. The most places of interest are located near the town center. We pass by the now-demolished wartime American Embassy on our way to the Reunification Palace. This famous edifice was a former residence of the President of Southern Vietnam until end of April 1975. Close to the palace are some striking French colonial structures including the Notre Dame Cathedral and the Old Sai Gon Post Office. We follow these with a visit to the Jade Emperor Pagoda and the War Remnant Museum with a wealth of images from the notorious conflicts. The sightseeing ends up with a walk around the retail Ben Thanh Market where anything and everything is for sale!

Afternoon: Transfer about 30km north-west of Ho Chi Minh City to Cu Chi town. Cu Chi tunnels were used as the base from which the Vietnamese mounted their operations of the Tet Offensive in 1968. The incredible underground network in Cu Chi stretched over 200 kilometres and became legendary during the American war. The extensive tunnels have been specially constructed with living areas, weapon factories, filed hospitals, command centres, plus accommodation. Today we have an excursion to Cu Chi Tunnels to visit an exposition hall and a widened section of the tunnels to get a feel of the underground life. There are also possibilities to fire off rounds from an AK47 or MK16 at the nearby rifle range.
Transfer back to Ho Chi Minh City.

DAY 3: HO CHI MINH CITY – MEKONG CRUISE TOURS TO MY THO & BEN TRE – CAN THO (B/L/-)

Pick up at your hotel in Ho Chi Minh city and start the trip to My Tho. Upon arrival, visit Vinh Trang pagoda which sated back to the late 19th century. Then  boarding the sampan and cruising down the river around the four beautiful islands known as Dragon, Unicorn, Phoenix and Tortoise islands.

Stop over at Unicorn Island, go walking in the village paths to contemplate orchards, enjoy tropical fruits, and Vietnamese folk music performed by the local people. Visit the fruit plantation. Be rowed in a small sampan through the Thoi Son canal and treat yourself to the beauty of the countryside, visit the family business & bee-keeping farm, enjoy honey tea and coconut candy workshop.

Have lunch at the local restaurant. Break time.

The afternoon is time for cycling around the Tan Thach village, meeting the local people to experience their daily life in the Mekong delta. Relaxing on hammocks to enjoy the cool breeze is for those do not want to join the cycling trip. Proceed to Can Tho City and overnight in Can Tho.

Day 4. Vietnam Tour of Wonders to Saigon, Dalat, Nha Trang, Hoan, Halong & Hanoi: Can Tho Sightseeing Tour – Vinh Long to Ho Chi Minh (B/L/-)

The lively floating market is a major part of sightseeing tour in Mekong Delta. Upon leaving Can Tho we set off on a short drive to Vinh Long and board a boat for an exciting excursion around the tributaries of the mighty Mekong River. Along the way we explore various local industry cottages including rice paper makers and bonsai nurseries.

The next stop is Cai Be floating market, whose trading way is unique since each boat usually sells one particular item such as pumpkins, pineapples, sugar canes,.. In order that the customer knows where to shop, they hang that item from the highest part of the boat. On arrival in Cai Be Town we meet up with our waiting vehicle and drive back to Ho Chi Minh, stopping off en route to see the beautiful Vinh Trang Pagoda and the Saigon’s Chinatown, locally named Cho Lon. This bustling area is crammed with fascinating temples and mysterious, narrow lanes.

DAY 5: HO CHI MINH – DA LAT SIGHTSEEING TOURS (B/-/-)

After having breakfast at hotel, you’ll be escorted to the airport for a short flight to Da Lat which is sometimes known as the “City of Eternal Spring”. Once arriving in Da Lat we can soak up the cool climate as much as we want by spending our time to wander around and catch our first glimpse of this town. The influence of the French is evident in local culture and architecture since Da Lat was founded as a hill retreat for the colonials to escape the oppressive heat in the coastal plains and the chaos of Saigon. This charming town is set around a lake and surrounded by forests, waterfalls and rolling countryside.

We continue driving to Hoi An which was originally a Cham seaport but has been influenced down centuries by a myriad of traders from various cultures.

There are plenty to see in this tranquil and delightful town, some of which are the famous Japanese Covered Bridges, the Pottery Museum, the 200 years old Tamky House, the Chua Ong Pagoda and the vibrant market. An Experience beyond words Thank You!! Vietlong & VietnamSome trips deeply connect with your heart, making you feel that the places you visit are perfectly suited for you to truly immerse yourself. Our journey to Vietnam far exceeded all our expectations and anticipation. The people of Vietnam are wonderful—kind, helpful, and always willing to go the extra mile to support and guide you. The food is exceptional; I would gladly visit again just for the cuisine and coffee. The landscapes are vast and breathtaking. We cherished every moment—from the vibrant, beautiful cities of Hanoi and Saigon to the treks in Sapa, boat rides in Ninh Binh and the Mekong River, and the cruise in Halong Bay. It was deeply moving to witness a country, once devastated by French and American occupations, rise against all odds and prove its resilience to the world. Visiting the Cu Chi tunnels and the War Museum was profoundly overwhelming. Their preservation of history is remarkable.Perhaps we can learn from Vietnam and start truly caring for our own nation by embracing discipline and civic responsibility. We are also grateful to our travel partner, Vietlong Travels, for curating such a comprehensive 13-day trip for us. Special thanks to Tran Thanh Loan for the excellent trip planning.

Dependable Tour Company in Vietnam The Sales manager was in contact with us all the time and promptly for our acceptable length of 13 days; ensuring everything was going well. Our stay and guide in Cambodia was exceptional even though we chose the 3-4 star option. Hoi An was amazing with a hotel with first class service and room; even though we arranged most of our activities prior before leaving home. The guide was kind and made good recommendations for the tailors and additional activities. The hotels in Saigon and Hanoi were conveniently located to the old town and night markets and the company included adequate activites in these two busy cities. The highlights of our tour with exceptional guides for the provided tours were Angkor Wat in Siem Reap and Halong Bay on Hanoi and the Saigon Cu Chi tunnels and City tour. Definitely would recommend this company.

Excellent. Excellent tour guides who were friendly and knowledgeable. Great to have private car and guide for all activities and the tour guide was able to tailor the activity to our needs and wishes. The young type guide we had for the walking tour of Hanoi was brilliant. He was so pleasant to talk with and so knowledgeable and did everything he could to make the tour memorable including lending me his jacket to cover my shoulders when going in to Ho Chi Minh mausoleum as I had worn a sleeveless top. Another guide sorted out an internal flight for us when it's had been cancelled and got us through priority so we could catch it. Altogether very well organised and good communication throughout. Thank you. Would certainly recommend.
