At the foot of the mountain namely Doc, a small temple hide modestly in cliff. It is Ba De temple, a famous one for sacredness.
Legend told that Trinh Giang Lord while was in his royal trip around the region, saw a beautiful girl cutting grass on the hill. The Lord raped the village girl of Chai village. When she was pregnant, the Lord had gone to his palace. Under the village rules, the ill-fated girl had to have her hair cut and applied lime, carried stone and sank down into the sea. She was the victim of an injustice which was gone through the sky and her miraculous spirited on the sea waves to help the village got out of dangers. Do Son people set up a temple to worship her at the foot of Doc mountain called Ba De temple. Ba De Legend was recorded in the first book- La Legende de Ba De by a French Orientalist – Panh Mumier, published by Ha Noi IDEO print house in 1930. After that it modulated to a silent film and showed the same of time with the film ‘Field of Ghost’ in which Nguyen Tuan played the main character.
