Day 1 – Hoi An One Day Motorbike Tours to Hilltribe’s Villages : Hoian Riding Motorbike tours to Ba Hon (-/L/D)

Departing Hoi An by motorbike puts a whole new perspective on the Vietnam countryside, with fresh air and beautiful sceneries filling the senses. We’ll first stop at 1000yr old Cham temples and former US and French bases from the independence wars.

(Optional stop at Marble Mountain where you can get your adrenaline pumping with an abseiling descent down to Hell’s Cave.)

We then wind our way into the mountains – this is what motorbike touring is all about! Travel along quiet roads, enjoying breathtaking sites at every turn and plenty of chances to stop for photos.

We reach Ba Hon, a beautiful village home to the Co Tu people, where we’ll spend the afternoon and evening. The culture, traditions and lifestyles of the Co Tu has remained untouched by time and is truly one of Vietnam’s most authentic hilltribes. We’ll enjoy lunch in the village and then it’s time to delve deeper into the mountainous landscape with a short trek along the Ho Chi Minh Trail to remote mountain hot springs and pristine rivers.

This evening the Co Tu hosts you in their village, with accommodation provided in private traditional stilted houses and a dinner of delicious local specialties. This Hoi An Motorbike adventures exclusive overnight stay is an unforgettable experience that is sure to be a highlight of your Vietnam vacation.

Day 2 – Hoi An One Day Motorbike Tours to Hilltribe’s Villages : Ba Hon Motorcycle Tours to back to Hoian (B/L/-)

In the morning, wake up to the sounds of the village coming to life. Enjoy breakfast and a hot cup of coffee as you watch the morning activities of the Co Tu, heading to the fields and preparing the days meals. We bid farewell to our hosts and jump back on the bikes for our return journey to Hoi An.

Today’s drive crosses the historic Ho Chi Minh Trail, through lush forests and past jaw-dropping views of the central Vietnam Mountains. Just when you thought it couldn’t get any more beautiful we arrive at a waterfall tucked alongside a towering peak for a picnic lunch.

The afternoon sees us descending back down toward the coast, stopping along the way to explore old bases from the American war, crossing the Thu Bon River by local ferry and following our unique rural laneway and floating bridge road back into Hoi An.

Optional Abseiling at Marble Mountain:

We walk up Marble Mountain into the rappelling area, which takes about 10 to 15 minutes.
The first rappel is a short walk from the practice area and enjoys a fantastic view of the ocean. This 22 meter line has great exposure, fantastic scenery and makes you feel like you are much higher than you actually are.

Then we do our final rappel; a monster 50 meter drop into a gaping hole so deep and dark that you can’t see the bottom. This fantastic cave rappel drops right out of the jungle down into a temple chamber. Get ready for a full on Tomb Raider experience!

How do I book the trip?

How do I pay for the trip?

Our standard payment policy is to ask for a 30% deposit of the package value at the time we send the final confirmation and the booking code for your trip. The balance of the total package tour price should be paid at least 21 days before starting date of the trip.

Is there any hidden cost? What about tipping?

No, all inclusions and exclusions are mentioned at our final confirmation for your trip. Generally, tipping is not compulsory. If you are satisfied with your guides, drivers, a small gratuity is an appropriate way in which to show appreciation to them.

How can I get Vietnam visa on arrival?

For those who travel with VIETLONG TRAVEL, we can arrange the visa approval letter allowing them to obtain a visa on arrival at Noibai Airport in Hanoi, Danang Airport in Danang, Tan San Nhat Airport in Ho Chi Minh. After 3-4 working days, we will send you the visa approval letter. We charge US$ 50 for visa on arrival at the airport. This fee is subject to change without prior notice.

How safe is Vietnam?

Vietnam is a relatively safe country to visit but there are increasing instances of theft, especially in HCMC where pickpockets and snatch thieves on motorbikes are common. The best tip is to be vigilant at all times. Leave all valuables at home, and make sure you have a firm grip on cameras and shoulder bags at all times. Our guides will advise you on dos and don'ts case by case.

What about medical insurance?

It is advised that travelers should have medical insurance before arriving in Vietnam. Although there are several international medical clinics in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, generally the country still lacks adequate medical care for serious illnesses and injuries. We advise travelers to have sufficient cover for emergency medical care as a precautionary measure.

The Sales manager was in contact with us all the time and promptly for our acceptable length of 13 days; ensuring everything was going well. Our stay and guide in Cambodia was exceptional even though we chose the 3-4 star option. Hoi An was amazing with a hotel with first class service and room; even though we arranged most of our activities prior before leaving home. The guide was kind and made good recommendations for the tailors and additional activities. The hotels in Saigon and Hanoi were conveniently located to the old town and night markets and the company included adequate activites in these two busy cities. The highlights of our tour with exceptional guides for the provided tours were Angkor Wat in Siem Reap and Halong Bay on Hanoi and the Saigon Cu Chi tunnels and City tour. Excellent tour guides who were friendly and knowledgeable. Great to have private car and guide for all activities and the tour guide was able to tailor the activity to our needs and wishes. The young type guide we had for the walking tour of Hanoi was brilliant. He was so pleasant to talk with and so knowledgeable and did everything he could to make the tour memorable including lending me his jacket to cover my shoulders when going in to Ho Chi Minh mausoleum as I had worn a sleeveless top. Another guide sorted out an internal flight for us when it's had been cancelled and got us through priority so we could catch it. Altogether very well organised and good communication throughout. Thank you. Would certainly recommend.
